Atitalaquia.- Encabezado por la Presidenta Municipal Claudia Sandoval, se llevó a cabo el Tradicional Desfile Cívico por el 205 Aniversario de la Consumación de la Independencia de México, una celebración con profunda raíz histórica en el municipio.
El primer desfile documentado de la Consumación de la Independencia en Atitalaquia data del año 1942 y está asentado en el Libro de la historia de Atitalaquia, realizándose de manera ininterrumpida desde entonces.
Atitalaquia es uno de los pocos municipios de México que no desfila el 16 de septiembre, sino el 27 de septiembre, conmemorando la Independencia de México con el Tratado de Córdoba, que simbólicamente fue representada con la entrada triunfante del Ejército Trigarante a la Ciudad de México el 27 de septiembre de 1821, encabezado por Agustín de Iturbide. Esto lo mantiene como el único municipio en Hidalgo en preservar esta tradición.
En esta edición participaron 7,254 personas entre estudiantes, docentes, personal administrativo, asociaciones civiles, elementos del Ejército Mexicano, fuerzas de seguridad y trabajadores del Gobierno Municipal, integrados en 53 contingentes que recorrieron las principales calles de la cabecera municipal ante el entusiasmo de la ciudadanía.
El desfile cerró con el espectáculo de la Hidalgo Marching Band en el centro de Atitalaquia.
